Setup Wizard
|
When you reboot your system
after the installation of your Personal Phone Gateway, the setup
wizard will automatically start.
On the first screen, please select your country
|
 |
| |
|
Name your gateway
|
Your gateway will need an
email address (gateway@tjnet.com for example) so that you can add it
to your Buddy List in IP Phone Center and place calls using IP Phone
center through your gateway.
Your gateway must have a different email address from any other
personal phone gateway. The email address does not need to be a
“real” address. |
 |
| |
|
Gateway phone number
|
Enter the phone number of
the phone line to which your gateway is connected.
Important that this is the correct number.
|
 |
| |
|
Number to dial for a
outside line
|
If you need to first dial a
number (such as a 9) to reach an outside line, then enter it in this
box.
Many office phone systems need to dial a 9 first when you place an
outside call.
If you do not want the 9 dialed (you want to call an office
extension for example). Prefix the number with a #, so to dial
extension 123 enter #123 in IP Phone Center. |
 |
| |
|
Restrict calls to
certain prefixes
|
You can either enable calls
to all numbers in the same area code as your gateway or restrict
calls to certain prefixes.
In some areas calls to all numbers in the same area code are toll
free, in other areas only calls to certain prefixes are toll free.
For information on which prefixes are toll free please contact your
phone company or look in your phone book or visit your phone
companies web site. |
 |
| |
|
Permitted prefixes
|
If you chose to restrict
calls to certain prefixes, you will be asked which prefixes calls
can be made to.
Enter the prefix in the top box and click "Insert".
To remove a prefix, select it and click "Delete".
NOTE: For (408) 437-7727 the prefix is 437, (408 is the area code). |
 |
| |
|
Choose the maximum call
time
|
When you place a call
through your gateway the call will be ended automatically by your
gateway after a period of time chosen by you in this dialog box. |
 |
