TigerJet's Personal Phone Gateway (PPG) connects your Internet phone call to your regular phone line and enables you to call any regular phone number from your TigerJet Internet phone.

If the number you are calling is in the free local calling area of your Personal Phone Gateway's phone line, then your call is free, even if you placed your call from another country or continent.

Personal Phone Gateway is fully compatible with all the popular Internet routers and portals.

Overview

With your own Personal Phone Gateway installed at home, you can be anywhere in the world and place calls using your home phone line as if you were placing the call from home. This means that you avoid hotel and phone card surcharges.

When you place a call, it travels from wherever you are via the Internet in the same way as an email or a web page and at the same cost (free!!!). When your call reaches your Personal Phone Gateway it is automatically connected to your home phone line and you will enjoy the same phone rates and convenience as if you were placing your call from home.

For example, if you lived in New York and installed a Personal Phone Gateway at home, then you travel to Houston (or anywhere else in the world). When you place a call home or to your office in New York, you simply connect your laptop to the Internet and place your call using one of the many choices of USB IP Phones.

Your call travels over the Internet and is connected by your gateway to the regular phone system. If your call is to a number that is in your local flat rate calling area then the call is totally free.

The Personal Phone Gateway can be used from anywhere in the world and with the high cost of International calls the savings are even larger.

TigerJet's Personal Phone Gateway application provides;

Easy quick setup wizard
Password protection from unauthorized use
Uses a low cost PCI card (no external boxes required)
Shares the existing Internet IP address and connection of your network
Call time limit can be set for each user
Track numbers called and call times for each user with log files
Set the numbers that the users are allowed to call (local numbers etc.)
Set numbers which are not allowed (411 etc.)

By restricting the numbers that can be called, you can (for example) ensure that all calls are to your local "toll free" area. Or you can enable specific area codes or numbers. In addition you can prevent specifically prevent calls to numbers such as 411.

Each user can have an account so you are able to limit the use of your Personal Phone Gateway to people that you choose and you can also limit the total call time for each user.

IP Phone Center enables a caller to enter the email address of the Personal Phone Gateway into their Buddy List such as gateway@company.com, and proceed to place calls.
