You will see the bright green wave form that follows the loudness of your voice.

Click the stop, then rewind buttons.

Click play and you will hear your test recording played back.

Issues

No sound is recorded (flat green line)

The most common problem is the record volume control set to zero. See adjusting the volume settings below. If using a phone interface board, try another phone. Also check cables are plugged in correctly.

USB Internet Phone . . .  does not show up in the Audio properties dialog box

If the Internet phone was plugged in before the IP Phone Center was installed. Windows would have tried to install a "close fit" default driver, you may not have full functionality as a result.

To correct this please follow the instructions to reinstall the driver.

To adjust the volume settings

To change the volume settings;

  •    Click Edit > Audio properties;

  •    Then click on Volume for either the Sound Recording or Playback.

  •    Setting the volume sliders to half way is a good start.

You can adjust the volume settings during a call for the best settings.
