Personal Phone Gateway calls

Overview

TigerJet's Personal Phone Gateway (PPG) connects your Internet phone call to a regular phone line and enables you to call any regular phone number.

If the number you are calling is in the free local calling area of the phone line that is used by your Personal Phone Gateway, then your call is free, even if you placed it from another country or continent.

Adding a Personal Phone Gateway to your Buddy List

A Personal Phone Gateway can be added to your Buddy List by entering it's email address using the Add a new Buddy button, for example the 1408 Gateway Demo address is phonedemo1@tjnet.com.

Click on Add a new Buddy
Enter phonedemo1@tjnet.com

Click Find

Click Add

Placing a call using a Personal Phone Gateway

The 1408 Gateway Demo enables you to place local calls in the San Jose area.

Highlight the 1408 Gateway1 Demo entry

Click call
Enter the number you wish to call

Click Place a phone call
Adjust the speaker volume for comfortable listening

Adjust your Microphone volume so that you see three yellow squares with the occasional red square

Note, you can send DTMF tones from the keypad so you can access voicemail etc.
